I'll be second, had a lifter failure like Jay, but way not as bad, shut it off when I heard a tick, in Aug at the mopar nats, I even won the round too, yes Dennis D. there was someone in the other lane! anyway I talked to Corda and he said to get the bushing lifters like Morel or Isky easy roll, so I mentioned it to Steve Kuenster who offered to help out getting me some lifters, they're made by Morel for Howards Cams or Competition Products, one of our sponsers, Steve helped me a ton picking out a cam, anyway it's on it's way back together, also I sold my cal trac's to a hopefully new member Gary from Ill, and I put ladder bars on the car, just looking to be a little more consistent. other than that nothing major! ha. ha.

The 2012 Champion looking to get more consistent, look out everybody! For me, I put new tires on the mini-van and we are making a place for Maverick [The Victory Dog] to lay down between the front seats. Jim Shelton [Hem Street Hustler] has offered to help me fix my little trailer that got damaged when my truck was totaled on the way to K.C. 3 years ago. This means I can load the van and trailer to go to the races. Oh, Becky is so happy, more stuff!!!! Since I don't have a race car anymore, all I can work on is the mini-van, LOL. Next..... Blowfish out.

I'm fixing this:
Stripped axle spline happened the last year at the Atlanta $10000 drags. I initially thought it was my tranny, which I had just rebuilt prior to the race. Notice the big bevel on that axle compared to the other (a spare axle I have), so this had less spline engagement in the spider. Machined the shoulder of the axle the bearing seats against to get more engagement (about .0625").
This failure burned up the sure grip clutches, so this was rebuilt. Scored clutches:
Sure grip ready to go back in:
Adjusting the backlash;
Ready to go in.
Have to blame Damon for this failure. Just put his new carbs on, just making too much torque with them
