The problem is there is no drag strip deal at any track. We fit in, and they accept us. I wish there was a deal. We guarantee that they make money, but there is no deal.
BTW, there is an option to race at the Mopar Event at Cedarfalls 21-22 August, but it is also one week before World Series. I am going to update what I know about the schedule right after this.

Since you suggested it, and most likely we won't be at the World Series. I think Victory's biggest rule topic would be Intake Manifolds, and how they are styled. You can argue, has to be original style, and how many original style Mopar cross rams does the group have ? Tom, your engine compartment looks like it would have back in 1963 ! Some other engine compartments, everything is raw aluminum, radiators, block, heads, intake and those lovely welded valve covers. Don't think the short tunnel rams like Jerry has, as long as it isn't above hood height is that offensive. Since we are running on an index, basically same as dial in bracket racing, who cares if it makes a car faster, you still have to pick a number and run it. I think we should keep 2 4bbls, but whatever. Some guys want to run Holleys. Basically a lot of Victory rules are trying to make the car look like it did back in the 1960's. If some guys could do it, they would have a Pro Stock with an old body on it. My two cents worth, but hey, we have a coin shortage now. Be safe and have fun at Cedar Falls Everybody !!

George, and detroitman, what is this talk about Cordova? In fact, we will be there for the World Series and two other fun races in 2021 !! In fact they take great care of our group šš. I just understand why you guys say this crap on a public forum? Somebody might want to call me?

Take a look at the date on my comment July 14, 2020. The ( WE ) I referred to is Me and Susan, and we ( Susan and I ) did not go to Cordova in August this year. That was a choice Susan and I discussed and made. My statement did nothing to bad mouth Cordova. I don't know where you got that idea. Don't put words in my mouth. As you know the Intake manifold issue created a heated several page discussion, and was settled with rules staying as they are, no change. I have always tried to post useful information on here, or create some humor with members that have a sense of humor. I can't speak for other members. So there is my reply.

Hey, to get back on track, I think this should be considered. We really haven't changed the rules since 2013. We did include a statement about no computer ports, but other than that and a few safety items (diapers and header tethers) nothing has changed. There is a good chance our rules will never change from what they are now.

I totally agree with Jim and Pete , however, I don't believe that the tracks promote / advertise "Nostalgia " racing as much as The current trends, but do agree the interest is less in the Nostalgia classes due to our age . However, When we are brought in at larger shows ( World Series for example ) The younger people are amazed at what we do without "Power Adders " and Have been thanked numerous times for bringing out "Museum Pieces ". Maybe the promotors should promote a Mix at venues instead of "Cubby Holing " Nostalgia classes / Events . What was interesting , last year my car was shown on the local news Saturday morning of the "World Series " launching , that day there were more pictures taken of the car and people posing with it than were taken in 4 or 5 years. Maybe we need to spend a little more on " Glitz and Glitter " ie: Paint and Lettering , might help ? I'm looking into letting on mine. Just an opinion and food for thought. If we created that banner that showcased some general info on our cars and rules to display at the lead pit spot would help the fans know what we are doing. I have so many people stop by to check out the car and then know nothing about what we're doing. I explain some general rules and usually they are way more interested.
