11/7 UPDATE - Track has added test-n-tune, Friday, 6-10 PM.
Bump for the LAST race of the year! Two days of racing.
Friday NOON - Parking. Test--n-tune 6-10 PM. FREE OVERNIGHT PARKING/CAMPING.
Saturday 11/12 - Gates open at 9. Two rounds of qualifying. 1st qualifier starts at 10. Pot luck lunch after first round.
Sunday 11/13 - Gates open at 8. Church service at 9. Two rounds of qualifying. First qualifier starts at 10. Leftovers after round one?
Open to all:
-Nostalgia Super Stock (ALL Series. NMCA, Victory, SHRA, 442, NSS Inc., Mid-West, etc)
-NMCA Nostalgia Muscle Cars (must have an NMCA number).
-IHRA/NHRA Stock and Super Stock Cars (must be able to run the index or under).
$75.00 entry fee each day (buy one day or two. Race Saturday OR Sunday OR both).
Graduated payout based on car count ($1,500.00, based on 33 cars).
$500.00 to win, golf cart race Saturday.
Saturday lunch will be potluck. Since it might be cool, bring chili, soup, white beans and ham, cornbread, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Red beans and rice (for the LA folks!), crackers, bread, desserts. Bring your own drinks and chairs. Local nostalgia racers will provide bowls, paper towels, plates and spoons. We will need a few tables. Bring those crock pots and extension cords. We'll try to find enough electricity!
All cars must run their index. Dial unders allowed in ALL classes. Basically a dial in race, but S/SS cars must run their index or quicker (keeps street cars out!). All cars must meet their respective class requirements.
It's 1/4 mile. Track will be fully prepped.
If you want a hotel, I can get you a great rate in Millington at Holiday Inn Millington (10 minutes from track). If there is more interest, let me know and I'll get us a promotional code.
If you need a hand, there will be plenty of us there to help. Don't be bashful, just ask!
Tech is done in the staging lanes, on the way to the first qualifier (easy and fast). Combo class is usually the last in the run order, so we will have plenty of time.
In NSS, carbs are not a specific tech item (what ever is legal in your series will be legal at this race). That being said, no Dominators , EFI or anything else really crazy!
No trans brakes in NSS. Note: There will be IHRA/NHRA Super Stockers that will use transbrakes.
Nostalgia Muscle Car - Must be a legal NMCA vehicle, with a NMCA number.
Here's the Nostalgia racers we have so far:
Jim Netherland
Neil Broyles
Don Cossey
Ed Becker
Russ Kauerz
Jeff Kauerz
Don Baskin
T.D. Holland
Mitch Reed
Bobby Hill
Mick Alles
Gabe Ray
Dustin Schele
Jimmy Ray
This list is only the Nostalgia cars. It doesn't include the Stock/Super Stocks. Kevin Gass will be joining us Sunday, but he's going to be in the COPO Camaro. A couple of EIGHT SECOND Hemi cars are coming!
