I received a recall letter from Chrysler to update the software in my radio in my truck. The letter included a thumb drive to plug into the USB port. Very easy instructions included. They said I could perform the update at home or take it to the dealer. Well I live about 60 miles from the dealer. I plugged it in and my radio fried. I called the included troubleshooting phone number and they told me they sent out a bunch of bad thumb drives and I have to wait for a new good one to arrive in the mail. Or I could go the dealer to get it done. The service manager told me it is ruined and they ordered a new one, but don't know when it will come in. POINT IS DO NOT PLUG IN THE THUMB DRIVE IF YOU GET IN THIS SITUATION. THIS IS ALL CHRYSLER BRAND VEHICLES SECURITY UPDATE SOFTWARE.

Glad I took mine to the dealer yesterday! They also had 2 more recalls on it! Steering wheel wiring, and Occupant restraint! Every thing went great only took 45 minutes. Now I have to take my 2012 Dually in for fuel heater recall next Tuesday What in the world has happened to the quality control?
