As another Victory NSS race weekend approaches, I'll share some food for thought. I have been asked to give many invocations (to a few and to a few thousand in attendance), asking God to make straight our path and quick our way. Racers know to be consistent and consistently quick, the path must be as straight as possible.
Proverbs 3: 5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”
In life we have many choices and our travel has many options and the outcome or path is effected by both...U-turns, detours, and extended routes or as many say "the long way around".
For the circle track racers I ask “that as they turn left, may the Lord keep them on the right path”. Ha-Ha
But before I close the invocation, I ask that God will keep us safe (spectators, crew and drivers) in Christ name, Amen.
Moral of the story…Trust in the Lord, not a little but with all your heart. For even the best GPS will lead you astray, use a God-based Positioning System.
May the Lord grant you all traveling mercies, keep your paths straight and keep you in the “quick” lane.
Love like Jesus, Chaplain KSW

We are a very blessed group for many reasons. Thank you Scottie for reminding us of the gifts that we receive! See you Saturday my friend, I will have your name at the Pit Gate. Let me know if anyone is coming with you. Chris
