Thanks Tom, its called Run Tuff Eliminator, used to run it back in the Oswego/US 30 days. After two time runs, all cars make a qualifying pass , the 16 cars that run closest to their dial and win their dial in qualifying race but do not break out, red light, come back to run for the money. If both break out both eliminated. If you win but are not close enough to dial compared to others, then no advancement to 16. Not much payout, but a nice facility/event/one day deal and close to home. See you at Cordova.

Sounds like a fun concept in racing. As far as payout goes, I doubt many of us are there for that. I've said many times, I'd race for bottle caps. Tom Gaines then says, so far, that's all I've been racing for!
Go victory gang GO!

We got to hang out with Chris in the pits, quite an operation, lots of prep, details, not the modern Funny car , they had 4 old school cars in there class, very Vintage. Chris, Thanks for talking the time to school us on Real Nostalgia Funny cars. It was hot, humid, heat, drizzle, then hot humid heat till the sun went down. I lost on the qualifying round and did not see Chris run, Dick and I did manage to run 10.68,s in the heat, so we are ready for Cordova. Our friend Bill with another Galaxie ran a pair of 11.63,s back to back, his best day this year, hoipefully he can join us next year. Also Jay Freihage hung out with us. Fun day. You GM and Mopar guys get ready, theres a couple of Bad Ass Fords in your future, see you in Cordova. Bob

It was good seeing some of the Victory Gang at Rt. 66 [Dick, Bob and Rumblefish]. It was a warm day for sure. I think I will throw away the shirt that I wore under my Fire Suit........ The Flying Butcher did pull out another .00 Light out of my bag of tricks in the Final. My .003 was good for the Good Vibrations Reaction Award. I was out in front of the very tough Gold Coast Charger but our Fuel Gremlin reared its head again and we Banged the Blower at the 1/8 mile mark giving up the win. We tore it all apart tonight and made repairs and we will put it back together tomorrow night. We race again in Nashville on Saturday [No rest for the wicked]. Our Hawaiian Buddy is flying in from California to hopefully figure out our Fuel issue. I look forward to kicking butt at Nashville and putting the Victory Sponsored Mopar Crazy Funny Car in the Winners Circle! That is Gary Ball next to car owner John Troxel who helps crew at many of our Races. He is one of our great Victory Sponsors.
