GTO update-- Susan and I drove 9 hours to pick up the 65 GTO NSS car and engine, only to find the car was not respresented honestly. It did have top shelf race equipment but the body was twisted so the doors and windows wouldn't fit together. There were rust bubbles and stress cracks in the paint. The car was dusty and dirty, as was the engine. We passed and drove the 9 hours home dissapointed that the car wasn't what we were expecting, but happy we didn't make a $20,000 mistake. So, the hunt continues........ Thanks to all for the nice comments and information. The Victory NSSS group sounds like a fun bunch to race with.

Keep trying Jerry !! Really crappy when that happens. There is a nice 63 Chevy Bel Air in Jefferson, Wisconsin if that would work.

Jerry, Here is the site. It is a great ready to go car. www.topnotchvehicles.com/page2.html This guy bought the car from Dave Campbell who raced it for years with the Midwest NSS group. He has not run it much in the 2 years or so he has owned it. He has a classic car sales co. in Jefferson, Wisc. and Charlie knows the car too. I heard he paid 20 grand or so for car ? He has had it for sale since he has owned it.

Charlie and guys, We found a 65 Chevelle NSS car in Tennesee. Looks to be a very nice car. Some of you may have seen it or know the owner, Steve Wilson. He raced it in the NMCA nostalgia super stock class. www.racingjunk.com/Nostalgia/182314022/1965-Chevelle-2-Dr.-Sedan-300.htmlSupposed to be a real Mopar killer!! haha. Looks like next week pick up if the weather cooperates.

Runs it at Memphis.
