Here's the schedule for Race #3 in the Victory NSS Series: Friday July 4th: Park Rigs after 3:00 pm. Qualifying Run #1 around 7:30 pm. Possibly another run if time permits. Saturday July 5th: Gates open at 8:00 am. Second Qualifier around 10:30. Third and Final Qualifier around 12:00 with a mandatory Drivers Meeting shortly after. All Victory NSS Participants must be at track by 10:00 am. First round of Eliminations will be around 2:30 and Eliminations will continue on through the Saturday Night Show. Sunday July 6th: NSS Gamblers Race. $40.00 Entry, one time run in the morning with Eliminations starting at 12:00. We will get the Gamblers Race done as early as possible to allow travel time. This race will be run similar to a Victory NSS Race, with the track getting 20% of Entry and rest goes to purse. I encourage all NSS Racers to participate. All times are tentative and are subject to change. Call with any questions, see you there! Chris 573-291-0999.

Well, already to race, but the weather isn't looking too good. I was hoping to go to Rock falls this week end but the weather is predictably bad. Well, can't wait for Eddyville to come around. The '62 is my car that I drove to back to the fifties car show this past week end. .

I bought it from Richard Carpenters's restorer, and it was in Carpenter's name actually. The 62 Dodge I finished in the work shop and was my race car in San Diego in Mid '11 to October '12. Kind of an interesting story about how I got the car, I'll tell ya sometime. The part of the story that is short is I went to LA for work and bought it at that time. I called my honey and said "I'm having a midlife crisis". She took me seriously and asked how to fix it. I said a 62 plymouth would do......after a short pause and a small laugh she said OK, but I get to buy some sewing machine she wanted. Good trade off I thought.

Tom, Excellent Trade off. When I brought the Barracuda home, I told the War dept. " I had to buy it cause the Color matches your Eyes ". See rolled hers. It cost me a horse.

Thanks for askin', You know how it goes, 2 months for paint, took 4. Got the chassis back last Saturday, I had them re-do the lace. At least 2 weekends to re-assemble. I'll say this, I think the wait was worth it. .... Flower Power!!! The short block should be assembled in 2 more weeks. Had a problem with pistons. Had to have a second set made. Long story. Probably have done just in time to drive around the pits to seat the rings @ Cordova, and go Race.
Tom, The horse still costs room and board, my luck, it'll outlive me. Good Luck and have fun next weekend. Bet Wally shows up wearin' a shirt with a bull-eye on the back!!!

The '62 is my car that I drove to back to the fifties car show this past week end. . Well, I did get to go to Rockfalls this week end. They changed the weather forecast on Friday. Another thing, a smart guy in the tower pointed out the darn weather gang will predict 70% chance of rain for ALL day even though they think it won't happen till night. That is irritating and misleading! Well, on to Eddyville, regardless of what the weather looks like!
