Heard another Duesy rumor this week end. That makes 3 in short order. Not going to repeat it, but gang, if it seems out of character for the group, it probably is.
Victory NSS doesn't exist to represent 60's drag racing. We are not here to represent how super stock racers were in the 60's. We are here to have fun. That is the goal. That is the only goal that I see. If you come to join us for any other reason, re-read that sentence above. Have fun.
If you have questions on the "goings on" in Victory, drop a note, get a hold of any director, myself, Clay, Rosie, Hagenhoff. We are here to have fun and do the best at making everybody have fun.
St. Louy is coming up pretty fast. Change plugs now so ya don't have to do it at the track.

I don't do rumors either, but I agree the group is designed to have fun. Having fun like many of us old farts did back in the 60's, before delay boxes, and wiz bang electronics. The group got going many years ago by some guys turned off by bracket racing, and the needs of a promoter who needed some old style super stock cars to do some match racing at his events. Len Greco was his name, if I spelled it right, I am sure he is dead by now. The original idea was older cars from the glory days of superstock racing, full-size sedans, big block engines, two four barrels, stock frame rails, and full interior, period correct. Nostalgia stuff was just getting popular. 1965 was the cut off back then, newer cars were added by some groups that borrowed the idea and made the group part of the regular race program. NMCA and NSCA may be a couple of the organizations. The index feature was added for these race sanctions, original races were run as match race heads up only. I am glad it lasted and grew over the years, and the FUN part I believe is what kept it going. In looking back at all the guys and cars I have raced with in the Nostalgia Super Stock events, those that stayed were the ones that had fun. Some got bored, some ran out of money, but the core group are in it because it is a good time.

And that is what we are talking about, having fun.
We only get so many summers in life, and so many days to play. Make good use of your play time, because at some point, all we'll have is memories.
