Hello Steve, okay,, if I may, I've looked this article over and I'm not a Philadelphia lawyer but! I don't see how this effects the Route66 DRAGSTRIP. I live in the western suburbs of the windy city and I did hear on one of the local NEWS stations that the Nascar portion of the facility was under question, extra parking lot area that would be turned into a warehouse is what I think they said on the radio. Now with that said I know just as well as everyone of you out there that a lot of good Dragstrips have gone the way of land development over the years. Just look at all the tracks that we lost in California alone. Ever read or thumb through the book Lost Dragstrips. Pretty sad stuff. I certainly don't want to turn this into a political statement because Jay asked us to leave it out of our conversations on these pages and quite frankly I don't see the need for mentioning what I think happened to a lot of those lost tracks. I have heard rumors about Byron, Union Grove going up for sale if the lease payments can't be met. This pandemic is the kinda thing that spells disaster for small and big tracks alike. Damn shame after all these years that something like this could close a lot of good tracks. Anybody else care to comment?

I do know the staff at Rt66 is down to only 3or4 people who have nothing to do right now!! As far as lease payments at Union Grove I would not have a clue, but i do know that there are none at Byron!!!
