All right my yankee friends, who's gonna be in St. Louis this weekend? About a half a dozen are coming up from the Memphis area tomorrow. I'm having to travel with a bunch of Mopar Heads. They're giving me a one race travel exemption, because I drive a Mopar tow truck! Looking forward to seeing you. If I don't lay eyes on you there, maybe the Hot Rod Reunion, next month in Bowling Green!

Great seeing lots of old friends and some new faces at St. Louis. Had a blast at the Dave Duel Classic, even though I was 50 feet away from a win in Class "B"(10.50 E.T.). Boomed an engine in the MPH trap against 00Joe! Congrats to Kevin Gass (and his crew chief, Kim), on the big win overall. Kevin and his '66 Chevelle SS-427, took home all the marbles (5,200 of them!), for his SECOND, Dave Duel Classic win. Kevin is the ONLY two-time champ. 69 entries, Chevy wins! On another Chevy note: Mike Moss, in his '66 Biscayne too home top honors for: - #1 Qualifier (10.000 E.T. in round 2 of Qualifying), - Wins Class "A" (10.00 E.T.), and...... - Reaction time award (.000 in the finals of class eliminations)! Sorry to hear about you blowing an engine. Even if it is a Chebby....... Sounds like Mike was charmed! Did anyone tech his car afterwards he must have snuck in a Mopar powerplant hehehee.
