Now that the Victory committee will be planning our future races, my personal opinion, I would like to see a couple of things, one would be something at each race that is just for all out fun, not focusing on points etc.. The other would be a focus during the year to make us better racers. I know we all try, and some of us are very good, but some us need to improve. I will let the powers that be, work on that. Hope to see you all at Clay and Rosie's Christmas party.

Yep, A secondary " Gambler's Race " for people who go out in the early rounds has been well received by everyone, However, Planning early for them at every race is almost impossible . As we are a part of a venue, other classes impact the allowable time, so it becomes a race day option that will remain a possibility. As far as making you a better racer, your on your own.

The way I worded the above may not have been the best. I suppose this idea would not work, what if we run our time runs with an index, so the finish line game could be practiced. We could change our index each run if necessary, and just like always declare our official race day index on Saturday at the drivers meeting. For those of us that don't win many rounds, would be good practice. Gambler's race would be good. What about the dead spots each race has, we could have a call out race, run a few cars that want to run each other for bragging rights, like we did at Cordova, not the World Series.

Hi George,,Like Jay says,,,sometimes at our events,,,the schedule is pretty much filled up with different races to be run,,,and rounds can take time. If a couple of "oil downs" happen,,well you know the waiting time on that.anyone who's stuck around till 1:00-2:00 in the morning knows what it's like to want to finish out the race. So,,,,sometimes as much as we'd like to have a "Gamblers' race or a "Match Race' the restraints the track has to go through just doesn't allow any "extra" events.Best thing you can do is make some phone calls,,,,and see who in the group would like to meet you at a track some where,,,and do some side by side runs and work on the tree or your reaction times etc.See if you can get several guys to go,,,now you have a variety of racers to practice with. Now that fall is coing in,,a lot of tracks may have nothing going on on the weekends and would welcome some N/SS cars at their track. Take Care George and Suzi !!! Bosspete-just in time.

Maybe I can make it clearer, I wasn't pleading for help for myself from Yoda to help me defeat the Dark Side. Maybe all of us combined can step up our game, by whatever means possible, so we go further at events like our race vs the NMCA boys at Indy. Just makes me sad to see our boys, and Rosie, go out early. We did have some guys do good. By the way, who would most resemble Yoda ??

I think lining up against an equally running car would be great, and we may could have done that all along. But, I see having a "dial in" time trial or qual pass a bit of a problem.
A lot of qual passes may not be "full out" and also, learning the top end from that may not be the best as that would goof up your qual time. As Jay said, this gamblers race is a great idea, when we can work it in, and we will do that when we can.
Also, I have all of the anonymous suggestions I have yet to look at, but will bring them when we have the first directors meeting and we can all look at them together.
Now, who would resemble Yoda? I'm not touching that.
