Storms of life With Byron next on the list, we look to have another opponent, the remains of tropical storm Hermine. Although it looks to clear for Saturday, we may have to deal with the evidence of its path.
Life has many storms and as the tree bends to the winds, we too must be deep rooted and be prepared to deal with some resistance this weekend. Pack accordingly and know whom your strength comes from.
Matthew 8: 23When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. 24Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was engulfed by the waves; but Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
We too often are quick to panic…
26“You of little faith,” Jesus replied, “why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was perfectly calm. It’s hard for us to see the rainbow from the storm. Only those who trust to look for the rainbow so often get to see it. A promise…
Know in whom you believe, trust in the proof of yesterday and hope in this eternal promise of God and take that hand of Christ, whom saved Peter from his doubt. May you be blessed with safe travel, deliverance from the storms of life and hope…hope floats
A prayer for racing weather, fellowship and safety.
Be blessed and see you down the ¼ mile.
It is an honor to serve, Chaplain KSW
