Removed the engine from the Chevelle, today. Luckily nothing is wrong with it like Tom's and Dennis' injured Mopars. Just trying to run a little faster index! Tomorrow will install the new improved version with aluminum heads and roller cam assembled by Iowa Speed and Supply.

Same cubic inch as the old one...460. 4" stroke x 4.280 bore. Carbs A/F ratio looked good on the dyno.

Ya, so how fast you want to go? Were you at the 10.75 index? As you stated, I am changing my motor too. The old one, I just couldn't keep oil in it! Attachments:

no duct tape?

Actually for the amount of duct tape required, my calculations tell me its cheaper to replace the engine. Might be faster too. And tape is just temporary anyway.

Engine is in. Hardest part was finding a lower radiator hose....2" to 1 3/4" ends.

Tom, I have a good BBC that would put you in the 10.75 index! Might have to fab up motor mounts for your Mopar.
