Selling a 4.30 ratio ring and pinion for a 8 3/4 differential and a "489" pumpkin. The case is an open 2.xx something stock piece. $200 obo Had it for use in my hot rod Pontiac Tempest, but going to sell the car.

The gears are Motive. They came out of a street car and had very few miles on them. They were to steep for the car's owner. The wear pattern on the ring and pinion looks fine. $210 new at Summit. $130 to your door. Thanks

Thanks, let me ingest this please. I really have not seen any of these designated for or as a Pro Gear per say, do you think this would work ok for a nss/c 11.00 second car?

Let me do some fact finding and get back to you. My bet is they will be tough enough for a 10-11second car. Seven or 8 second car might be a different story!

not that anybody asked me, but i would say you would be fine at 11.0....much faster and i would think pro gear... none will last forever, but i ran street gears in a street legal challenger for 3 years on slicks with no problems, 10:90 car

I bought a used set of Street Gears for my 3,600# Blue 67 and ran high 9's for 10 years. They are still in that car going strong. I put a new set of Spicer Street Gears in my mid 10 second Silver 65 and Buck is still running them. Anything can break in a Race Car, but I personally have seen more broken Pro Gears than Stock. I think Set Up is very important. That's my 2 cents worth [this and a nickel will get you a gumball]. Blowfish

Attachment DeletedSee, now there is a working garage. Dennis Mothershed was showing a picture of his working garage and apologizing for it. Here is my garage when I was doing the transmission. You see these pictures of finished car in a polished floor garage and you KNOW no actual work is accomplished there. Have fun Jerry!
