Discipline and the Board of Education
Have you noticed more and more the acts of lawlessness? I remember a time any act that even threatened the rules laid out by a governing body (Home, School, Employer, exec) were dealt with on the spot, normally to the spot and yes literally by the “board”.
Discipline, while never pleasant, should always be administered for the good of all (including the offender). Rules must be written to reflect the greater good, to preserve a given way and be policed by a respected board.
Webster said it this way:
“Discipline is control that is gained by requiring that rules or orders be obeyed and punishing bad behavior; a way of behaving that shows a willingness to obey rules or orders; and behavior that is judged by how well it follows a set of rules or orders.”
Sir Robert Peel was credited with creating the first modern police force, the bobbies, in London, in 1829, I wonder what the “police force” of the future will be called………………….insert your idea here.
The Holy Scripture and discipline,
Hebrews 12: “5And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
Without discipline there is no honor, without honor there is no respect, without respect there is lawlessness.
I would like to honor ALL the Victory NSS Series, Director, Board and Members. It is my pleasure to serve as Chaplain and you have my utmost respect.
In God We Trust,
