Looks like we won't have a Ford vs Mopar rematch at Joliet Rt 66 Classic, since they have it scheduled on August 15 2020, and Victory will have a points race at Gateway that weekend. I think I know which one everybody would choose between the two. Plus we can pick on Jerry at Gateway.

Tom scheduled Victory to the St Louis race on that date because i had not heard a word from Rt 66, and when opportunity knocks we will take it !! By the way, the Victory turn out last year for the Classic was more than terrible!!!

Dick, when I look back at the Rt 66 Classic last year, the weather with storms, lightning, heavy rain, and hail, and partly flooded pits, was not the best. It cleared Saturday afternoon and night. We got in two runs. I enjoyed my runs with buddy Bob Westhoff, nice to be side by side down the track. Jay and I got to hang out with all of you Ford guys, enjoyed that. With 2 Mopars and 4 Fords, definitely not a big turnout. Way out numbered by those other SS guys. Weather sucked but I had a good time. So it brings a whole new meaning to FORD, Fast On Rainy Days.

When I got the chance to schedule the race at St. Louis I took it, and it was the only real option at that point (and none have come up since then either). Hopefully we can get a better shot at things next fall. But, I do want to huddle with the gang next year as we go through the year, and get opinions from the gang.
Its going to be a long winter up here, looking forward to spring already. Stay warm gang, and if you need engine machine work done and you haven't got it to the shop yet, you are already late, maybe too late.
