Got a question to anybody or everybody on the Victory panel. Not that I have one, but just curious about accepted body types in Victory. Just as an example, we have many 2 door 1964 Dodge Polara/ 440/330 cars running hardtop or post bodies. The question is, would a 4 door car be acceptable in Victory ? Would a convertible be accepted in Victory ? I know 4 door wagons run in Victory. Just wanted to know for future possibilities. That sharp red 4 door 65 Dodge Coronet in Clay's shop got me thinking. I know they would all have to have the big block wedge or Hemi.

There is at least one other four door running. Might be out east, but seen pics of it somewhere. Then there was Al Wilson and his '59 or '60 Plymouth running right up until last year. It might be noted that there was a couple of hemi 4 doors built, and I think maybe all of them survive to this day? But not sure. In any case, that is one great looking Dodge that Clay has.
On the convertibles, I think it is a 63 Dodge out of Florida that was/is a convertible stocker. They must have a roll bar/cage in them even if they run in the 13's. There has been a couple of stocker convertibles through the years.

yes Tom there were some 4dr hemi cars built, a friend of mine has one , a 66 dodge coronet, I got to work on it and drive it a few years back , he said about 4 were built, not all of them survived, another convertible is the brown 64 plymouth races at Bowling Green every time I was there, car used to be Al Corda's back when he lived out east.

Well, I was pretty sure you would know. Was there one of them ordered by a police department or something? Not that it matters. Every old car that exists today has some interesting story as to how it got to be here today.

Tom , yes there is odd stuff out there, the same friend with the 4dr hemi, has a 66 hemi coronet 2dr that was owned by a fire department!! it still has the siren and extra lights in the grille, with some badging from the fire dept, it's original paint etc. it has a real neat metal KB emblem on the fender. if cars could only talk.

I won a trophy for stirring the pot right ? Let me add this, how about Victory going back to re create history as it was back around 1963, doing something the other Super Stock type groups aren't. B/FX class had at least two neat vehicles, and there is plenty of articles on these two to document them and how they ran. For the Mopar guys there is Dick Boynton's 1963 Dodge Pickup with dual quad 413 and a torqueflite running 12's called the "Ram Truck". For the Ford guys there is Jack Whitby's 1963 Ford pickup with an FE 427 and a BW T10 4 speed running 12's called the "F 100 XL", and you could actually order one just like it from your local Ford dealer. Once it came out of the factory it went to Dearborn Steel Tube where the Thunderbolts were built, then to your dealer. It's all there on the internet. Who doesn't love old pickup trucks? What do you think guys? They should be the first vehicles in Victory with strict original authentic appearance rules. Just an idea. If nothing else, they are neat to read about.
