Hi Dick, I use the Precision Performance Products shifter it is easy one hand use and for me the rear exit cable keeps the cable away from headers

Greetings Dick, we have used a Turbo Action Cheetah shifter for a long time, like Tom the rear exit helps keeping the cable away from the headers. Spring loaded gate makes for positive shift even with my eye's closed, or one anyway. I have also used a Hurst Quarter stick which had a very solid positive feel to it however you need two hands to engage or shift to reverse, That was available in front or rear cable exit depending on application. Hello Dick, maybe I can add some info that's not worth 2 cents. In my 70 GTO, I have a Hurst Autostick 3, but they quit making them. That is my favorite shifter I have used. Like Bill, I am not real happy with the Hurst Quarterstick, which I put in my 72 GTO. My 64 Dodge came to me with a B&M Quicksilver in it, and I like it. I am surprised you haven't had a bunch of replies from the Mopar guys, saying the only real race car shifter is a push button !! Gateway Nostalgia Rendezvous is only a month away !! Can't wait to see everybody !!

I have a Cheeta rear exit shifter. It is a very good and easy to use unit. It has a replaceable gate so it can be used for a 2 or 3 speed auto. In the past I have used both Hurst auto stick and quarter stick shifters. I really like the solid feel of the quarter stick, but it is harder to get into reverse. The auto stick was a ratchet type shifter with a good feel, but discontinued in the 80’s. When racing Mopars, just put it in drive and floor it.....usually works!

I'm using the B&M Pro Stick. It does have the front cable exit, but I run fender well headers. Fender well headers really fix a lot of burning problems (cables, wires, engine diapers, trans cooler lines, time slips, etc.) Anyways, that has been my favorite shifter I have ever ran. Works great!

Thanks you guys for all the feedback!! I use a Hurst quarter stick and it is okay, except it seems hard to adjust so all gears work well and the neutral safety switch works correctly? Also, getting into reverse is a pain!! Just thinking about a new one?
