Just wondered how many pound cap everyone uses? Higher or lower?

Hello Dick, my 2 cents worth, although not worth that, I've got a 15 lb cap, that's what was on it so kept it, replaced everything else. Some interesting ideas on cap pressure on internet forums. I had to go with Cometic head gaskets, and they don't recommend real high cap pressure on those, or if you have bolts going into water, such as the end header bolts on a Mopar. I am sure there will be much better advice from our fellow Victory racers.

22 pounds works fine on my Chevy. Don't know about Fords or Mopars. Always used fel pro head gaskets and never had any water in the cylinders.

15 # cap w/ a bottle of water wetter, runs cool, never above 210 no matter the air temp. Small radiator too. No issues.
