I am hoping to get wiser with age [yeah right]. I want a little more verification before I post. I don't want this forum to be about rumors unless they are about Grandpa Cheese, Rumblefish or Fugly, especially Fugly!!!!! Don't worry, soon, very soon, be patient children. Chris.

OK boys and girls, I have it from multiple good sources so I feel it's alright to post this: S&S Promotions [Scott S.] is bringing the original Monster Mopar Weekend back to Gateway on Sept. 5th to 7th, 2014! Scott is telling people that he wants it to be like it was. This will be the weekend before our 5th Race of the Victory Points Series. It looks like NSS cars will have 4 opportunities to race at Gateway. For those of you traveling a long ways that want to race both events in Sept., I'm sure just like in the Spring, we will be able to leave rigs at the track. It is locked up with 24 hour security. This is quite an opportunity for NSS Racers. I believe 2014 is going to be awesome for us. Needless to say, the "refuse still has to hit the fan" this week. I will keep you updated. Blowfish out.

What's he going to call it? I thought the rights to Monster Mopar name went to Josh? we need to get these races spaced out more, with travel time , work etc, it's really tough to justify back to back weekend, it's bad enough with just a week in between. or an I the only one that thinks this?

Russ, my understanding is he is calling it Monster Mopar Weekend. According to Scott, he was not paid for it so he is reclaiming it. I'm not a lawyer, so I'm staying out of that. As a rule, Promoters don't worry about what anyone else is doing, just their event. Before I contracted to race in Sept. at Gateway, I asked about what was going on with Scott and Track Management said they didn't think anything would happen. I then scheduled our race there thinking it was in our best interests. This is the way things happen nowadays. I understand all of the time, money and family restraints involved with back to back weekends, been there done that. We all have to make decisions in life, some easier than others. For those of us in Missouri and Illinois, this is awesome news. For those farther away, it can make for tough decisions. When it is all said and done, it doesn't affect the Victory NSS Series. We have 6 Points Races scheduled at 5 great Race Tracks at 6 great events with great Sponsors providing wonderful Purses as well as Prizes and awesome Points Fund. These other Races are additional options for our group to race at if the Racers choose to. Remember when NSS Racers only had a couple good races to choose from a year? Now there are MANY choices for NSS and I believe it is a good thing. We all have time to plan and work things out. As I have said, Gateway is offering us the opportunity to leave rigs at the track, saving fuel and wear and tear. Many people could even car pool back and forth. Look at the bright side, 2014 is going to be interesting for NSS. I as well as the whole Victory NSS Family will continue to build and grow our brand. We will also continue to support other venues and groups that promote NSS Racing, that is what is best for our Hobby. I look forward to all of the Victory Races, driving John's F/C as many times as possible and attending as many other NSS Events as I can this year. Happy New Year, God Bless America, Good Luck to all NSS Races and Racers, Chris schneider

Scott Sieveking and I had a good talk on the phone today. He is excited about MMW coming back to Gateway. We are both going to work on ways to make it as easy as possible for racers to participate at his and our race there as possible. We are even working on a couple of surprises. There will be more updates in the near future. After the Hangover clears up on Wednesday, lets get out in those shops and get those Hot Rods ready!!!!!!! Chris

Some guy from MO posted today on moparts about it with a date, and another guy came on there and said he can't call it that cause that name belongs to Josh and lawyers will get involved. I was going to say well Chris said Scott said he never got paid, just kidding , I kept my mouth or key board shut. ha. ha. stay tuned for more drama to come.

Trust me, get a comfy chair, a cooler and some popcorn and sit back and watch,it is going to be interesting!!!!!! All kidding aside, Scott was very sincere in his interest in working with us to make this work. I am a firm believer in where there is a will, there is a way! Maybe Clay and Rosie can open a Bed and Breakfast at Kossuth Manor...............LOL. Blowfish out.

After last years fiasco with the SS INC group at the mega mopar event at Gateway it will be a hell of a show with our Victory bunch !! I was thinking back on the World Seiries race we had a full field of some of the best NSS cars in the country. I think that Scott will agree on that. Looking forward to a very productive year for NSS racing. Got to keep the Cheese heads under control especialy the 409 guy's, bet me 409's try 500 CI or better !!!! Charlie be nice.
