Hi Bill & Mitzi, Figured it was time , from the windshield back the paint is from when I bought it as a street car in '96, built to run NSS in '97, Yea we've known each other that long. Anyway, I was approached by a body shop a few years ago offering the paint job as sponsorship. A lifter came apart and wiped out the cam @ Cedar Falls, so since I'm freshing the motor, seemed like a good time to do the body. I contacted the body shop and the offer still stood, so here we go. I haven't had the motor out of the car since Arlen & I assembled it in '02, when the lifter bores were bushed. I've put rod and main bearings in 3 times thru the oil pan, and just general maintence. Can't really complain about that motor, pretty bullet proof with an 8,000 shift point. Hit the 9000 chip a couple times in the box with no damage. After taking last year off, how close are you to being ready, and you planning on all the Victory races this year ? hey Charlie...
