Thanks for all the kind words.
It looked like something bit me on my middle finger of my left hand last Saturday while working on the race trailer. After 9 days of antibiotics, it was still spreading up my hand and had just past my wrist when they admitted me on Monday for IV antibiotics. Then after 6 rounds of two different antibiotics via IV. They decided they needed to cut my finger open to clean it out. Apparently it was following my the tendons up my hand and into my arm. Tuesday they did the surgery and they deemed it a success. By Wednesday I was going crazy locked up in the hospital room, and finally after enough complaining they sent me home last night. Still taking antibiotics to prevent a relapse, but all in all it looks pretty good. They couldn't figure out what started it and they were not able to grow anything from the cultures. Probably a spider, but we may never know.
The only bad part is they didn't stitch it up so it can drain, and it still hurts pretty bad, especially by the tendon when I move it. Gotta clean it out every few hours, and keep moving it to prevent a loss in range of motion. With a little luck it should still be ready for the thaw.
I hope to be back to near normal soon, but for now it looks like I may have some range of motion issues.
-Dave

Glad you are doing better Dave. Heal up and we'll see you at the track! By the way, I don't think you will find anyone "normal" around here! Blowfish out.
