Received a few notes about some of the tracks putting rule in that if you run slicks, you must have a diaper....if not and you spill it's $100 per half hour of cleanup

May have to dream up a belly pan. Need to figure out the model number of the oil pan I have now and see if I can get a diaper for it that can clear 4 speed stuff. I exchanged e-mails with the fellow that has this duster, and he built his own pan, but he has a tube K-Member and rack steering... -Dave

Here's an example from Evadale dragway in Texas: 2014 Diaper Rule
In 2013 we lost many of our racers and spectators, during our races, due to clean-up time from oil downs. These oil downs cause a serious safety hazard for our drivers as well as the down time. After talking to several race tracks and careful consideration, we are implementing this new rule. We are in hopes this will help control our oil downs and have less down time.
Effective Date – March 1, 2014: Any vehicle that has race tires will be required to have an engine diaper or an engine containment device (belly pan). If you choose not to have one of these devices, and oil-down the track, there will be a $100 per half hour clean-up charge. If this charge is not paid the day of the oil-down you will be banned from the track until which time the charges are paid in full. If you have one of these devices and oil-down the track, there will not be clean-up charges.
We will have Engine Diapers for sale, in the office, from JEGS at our cost. At this time these are a little under $130. You can also get them at Gary Watson Racing in Beaumont (409) 842-3278

In MHO! The reason they say there're losing spectators it's not fully related to the oil down, It's because most of the clean up crews don't care how long it takes them to get it cleaned up!

Russ, I bought a universal one from Jegs and it fits fine. It was cheap too. How good will it work I don't know , but is better than none at all.
