Susan and I will be there on Friday. Eddyville is only 2 1/2 hours south of our home. Also looking forward to warm, dry weather and good racing. Hopefully, I can get the "qualifying" thing figured out for the eigth mile and the Chevelle can give you guys some competition! We are bringing Iowa farm raised Angus beef burgers for everyone on Friday night. The beef and buns will be supplied, so bring a plate and something to drink.

Woo hoo! That sounds great!
We'll get a couple of passes before we have to declare the index, so you'll know what you have to do. Its pretty easy for me as 11.0 seconds equals 1/8 mile time of 7.0 exactly so I don't really have to do anything. We'll have fun!

Here's what we have so far. This is the first time for this Race so Gerald is planing as he goes. We discussed things tonight and here is what we got: Gates officially open at 5:30pm on Friday. Victory NSS cars can enter after 3:00pm. Please do not arrive before 3:00. When you get there, find me at the Victory NSS Tent and I will park you [look for my white trailer with Missouri Max on sides]. I will Tech all Victory Cars at your Trailer, please fill out your Tech Card NEATLY AND COMPLETELY and take it to Becky at the Victory Tent ASAP.Track goes Hot at 6:30 for Test and Tune. Gerald is giving Victory Cars free Test and Tune on Friday night. Many of our guys have gotten very few or no runs this year so this will be a good chance to get the "Bugs" out. You should be able to make several passes on Friday if you like, we will have no scheduled Qualifiers on Friday. Jerry Bolten has kindly offered to bring some "Iowa Beef" for us so we will try to all get together and eat on Friday night, THANKS Jerry! Please bring some sides and something to drink. Saturday Gates open at 7:00am. I need all Victory NSS cars parked by 9:00am. There will be a Driver's Meeting at 10:00am at the Victory Tent. We will have 2 scheduled Qualifiers starting at Noon. The second Qualifier is when you must have your Index declared and we will set the Ladder. If time permits, we will have 1 free time run before Elims but the Ladder will be set after the 2nd Qualifier. Elims will start at 4:30pm and will continue into the evening. We will finish Sat. night barring weather problems. Sunday is the Rain date. Schedule is subject to change. Camping at Track for Racers on Friday and Saturday Night is fine. Just a reminder, this is an 1/8 mile track. Our Indexes will be: 5.50 5.75 6.00 6.25 6.50 6.75 7.00 7.25 7.50 7.75 8.00 8.25 8.50 8.75 9.00 You must be a Victory NSS Association Member to participate, yearly membership is $150 and can be paid at the track. WE will be part of the Big Show for this Special Event. I will post updates as the days go by. I could use a head count to help me set up our VIP Pit Area. See you there! I would assume so, but wanting to make sure, Do they sell fuel at the track? I'll have to make a detour on my way there if they don't. Pretty much loading on fumes. Thanks

rumblefish I don't remember for sure if they sell fuel at the track! I would assume they do. Here's their number I'd give them a call to be sure unless some one chimes in that knows for sure! See you and Cathy there!

Thanks for the replies. I'll call to be safe . Thier website shows they do ( Advertisement ) , and there is a test and tune Friday, so I would guess they do, But over the years I've seen no fuel available at some tracks for various reasons which normally do sell. I've usually bought a drum and kept it at my shop, but haven't the last few years.

One place you don't want to buy fuel unless you have to! Beech Bend! I had to get some while there for the DDC, It was $10.00 per gal for VP 110 What a rip off!!!

Called the track, answering machine says to call the track manager with any questions, He answered on the 3rd. ring. Thought that was pretty good. Fuel will be available, 112 is $10.00 a gallon. By the way, Russ, St. Louis is where 2 years ago, I told the guy to give me 9 Gallons ( 11.00/ ) and a squirt to make it an even $100.00. His math was 10 gallons + and a bunch of squirts made it 100.00. That's when I told freese that guy must have a degree in calculus.

Talked to Charlie the other day. He won't be there, Gasless Weekend. He did find another block for the El Chumino.... I'm watching the weather forecast closely... 7 Hr. drive , same as St. Louis... Not Complaining, Just sayin '.
