Just when you think he has had an incredible year, Russ Berens wins again! Russ takes out a tough field of 29 cars at Gateway for his 3rd win of the season in the Victory Series. He has more than a 5 round lead over the only other competitor to have a chance at the Championship, his close friend and 2 time winner this year, Wally Krueger. If Russ wins his first round at our Final Race of the year at Byron, he will secure his second Victory NSS World Championship! This would make him the first 2 time Champion for the Victory Series. Congrats to Russ on his win and for Qualifying #1 with a .002 over. Kudos to a great Racer and class act, you are a wonderful representative of the Victory NSS Series. Also, congrats to Series new-comer Jon Landwehr for Qualifying #2 with a .004 over, getting the A&A Transmission Best Appearing Award and an awesome runner-up finish! Not bad for your second race. Great job by everyone involved, awesome racing as usual, great comradery and a lot of fun. Byron is going to be exciting, see you there. Chris Points after St. Louis: 1. Russ Berens 409 2.
