Chris asked me to post this as he is out of town. The Meeting Time will be 9:30 Saturday, and Ballots need to be in by 9:30 . The spectator gates don't open till 9:00 ,so members coming to spectate would be prevented from voting and miss half the meeting. I assume Chris was mis-informed on the gate time and not trying Chicago politics. ( You know I had to say it, way too easy !!! )

It is a good thing that I have Rumblefish around to keep an eye on me........ Do I get free room and board like your past Governors have Ol'Buddy? ?? The real reason we are moving the meeting time up is to give Bruemmer, Hagenhoff and Clay time to heal up from Friday night! This is an important meeting though, so please be on time and be prepared to stay on task. We have a lot to go over and a tight schedule. This is going to be a great race, see you Kids there!!!!!! Blowfish out [Until I mess up again]

"WELCOME TO ILLINOIS, WHERE OUR GOVERNORS MAKE OUR LICENSE PLATES " ... Don't forget , on election day, Vote Early... and often. Fugly, you can read it to me, but you'll probably lie.

I think the wording should be changed on some of the rules , like should Holley carbs be aloud in FX classes? should sheet metal intakes be aloud in FX classes? because I don't think it applies to the other classes. FX was factory experimental and just about anything goes (within reason period correct of course) if you chose to run that fast you can.

The only problem with rewording the Ballot is that Victory NSS does not have a F/X class. All cars run under the same rules. If the group wants to adopt F/X as a class that is fine, we can vote on that but that has not been our direction to this point. We have tried to hold the reigns on the rules thus far as others have watered down NSS to the point where it is almost unrecognizable. Just another point, back in the day, F/X was not a class for Super Stock. It was for the early Funny Cars that didn't have any other class to fit in and were not recognized at most venues out side of match racing. These cars were altered wheel base cars which quickly morphed into injected and then blown combo's. What ever the group decides to do I will go with, but I recommend that everyone thinks hard on this. We have a good thing going, do we really want to change it? This is a special group of people with very special cars that run at special events. I think it is a winning combination. We will discuss this at the meeting, see you there! Chris.

I also agree, allowing tunnels, sheet metal , holleys, singles , etc is not really the only point.....if you change one, then the next, then pretty soon it's nothing more than no box or box with old bodies......jmho, off my soapbox now

Totally agree !! Lets not mess it up!! I do have no problem with single carb cars as long as they are 750-850 carbs not Dominators.

Still have a ways to go with my car, but would like to know if there were any rule changes. How soon before they are posted?
Congrats to Victory for the great car count and to Russ Berens on the win.

No rules changes for 2015. Everything was overwhelmingly voted to be kept as is. I guess if it is not broken, why fix it? Call if you have any questions. Chris

Here is how the voting went: Question 1. 39 of the 43 that voted planned on racing with the Series in 2015. 2. Only 4 voted to make 4 barrel carbs legal, so it was almost unanimous. 3. Only 3 voted to make tunnel rams legal, so once again very clear. 4 & 5. The vast majority voted to keep our high and low indexes at 13.00 and 9.00 . 6. By a 6 to 1 margin the group voted to not let Victory Cars participate in a non-NSS Class at a Victory Points Race. 7. Once again it was clear that group does not want sheet metal intakes as only 3 voted for it. 8. By more than a 4 to 1 margin, it was voted to keep our indexes at .25 second intervals through entire field. 9. By more than a 3 to 1 vote, it was decided to keep our eligible car models and years as is. 10. It was also clear on making Holley Carbs legal on all engine combos as only 4 voted for it. We then discussed as a group how to tech and enforce our no electronics policy. It was overwhelmingly decided to continue to allow me as Director to Tech and Police the enforcement as I have been. I will continue to visually inspect location of ignition boxes and wiring at tech and can reinspect a car at any time. I will also continue to be at the starting line area during Eliminations to insure a level playing field. Anyone found to be in violation of the rules at a Points Race will be disqualified and will lose all points from that event. Second violation will result in a lifetime ban from the Association. This can be revisited by the group any time we see a need to alter how the policy is enforced. As you can see, the group as a whole is happy with the direction the Victory Association has taken. You may not be in agreement with everything that we do, but overall, I think we have the best thing going. If this is not what you like or want to do, that is fine. There are many alternatives and plenty of places to race. The Victory NSS Association will continue in the direction that it started in 2009, having fun and enjoying quality racing of our vintage hot rods among friends. We wish all other NSS Racers good luck and safe racing, we will see you at the track. Chris Schneider Victory NSS Director

Chris ,
So where will growth of this series come from ? Car count as rules stand today ? In joining this series my hope was to see its evolution in to classes of nostalgia funny car, fx cars, modified super stock ( which most of cars racing in series are today with rules as they are) and true super stock (which few cars are). To me best chance of growth is in modified super stock. With after market vendors today for this class helps it a lot I think. Victory is awesome ! And people in this series are awesome ! Your effort on this series is awesome ! To me big car count brings more vendors ,bigger purses. Everyone wins. Break down I think in this series out look 6 funny car, 10 fx cars, 100 modified SS and 15 true SS. So true super stock class means as they were in 1960 s externally modifications internal engine, trans, axle only. Modified super stock rules are ones that exists now with some rule changes to enhance performance. Sorry I was not at meeting. For everyone car I m building is 1965 dodge coronet sedan. Being built with every up grade that rules currently enable me to do. ....opinion over....thank eric
