I've had some questions about our meal Friday night. We will have Sloppy Joes and Cole Slaw. You do not have to bring a dish but if you want to you can. The Bax's are bringing Tortilla Chips and Clay and Rosie are bringing a fruit tray. Charlie Cheese is bringing you know what...... Keep it simple and don't forget to pick up your dish afterwards. Everyone should bring their drinks and a chair. See you there!

Heh Charlie, I was at the Pickers this afternoon and Frank told me he thought you were in the shop this morning. It is nice to have such a cool place so close to the race track!! Sorry I missed you today.

I will be leaving early in the morning for Cordova so I will not have any internet for the rest of the weekend. I will try to recruit someone with a smart phone to post updates. If you need anything call me. See you at Cordova! Chris 573-291-0999

Well, its Friday morning and we are here. You don't need a weatherman to tell you the humidity is 100%. 60% chance of rain today, 40% for Sat and 10% for Sunday. Looks like we'll have a great crowd, hope we can get some runs in today.
Hey, why am I a junior member??? At my age???

OK its Saturday morning! We got one time trial on Friday night, we ran as part of the main show though, and that was pretty neat. We had rain in the morning, and I think it was about 2:30 before any cars went down the track. Pretty hot and humid and most everybody ran accordingly slow. After we ran we had a really nice supper with sloppy joes and an entire assortment of beans, salad, bars, snacks ect. A nice evening had by all. I think Chris said we have about 41-42 cars here, so we have a pretty good crowd! Looking forward to the day today!

Eliminations were very exciting for Victory NSS at the 61st World Series of Drag Racing at Cordova Raceway . 42 Victory NSS cars made the call for round 1 and a little over 4 hours later, we had completed 6 rounds of Eliminations during the Saturday night World Series of Drag Racing show in font of over 10,000 cheering fans! It is very cool sharing the lanes with Nostalgia Nitro F/C's, Jets, Wheel Standers, Big Show Drivers like Tim Wilkerson, Clay Millican, Tony Pedregon, Larry Morgan, Warren Johnson and more. We had interesting match ups that included Husband vs. Wife, Father vs. Son and #1 vs. #2 in the points. As usual the racing was incredibly close and exciting. Russ Berens did another fine job of driving as he has all year, defeating friend and points nemesis Wally Krueger in the semis and then taking out former past Series Champion Clay Kossuth in the Final. Russ is showing that he has what it takes to possibly be the first two time Victory NSS Series Champion, although his pal Wally might have something to say about that. With two races to go in the Points Series, it is going to be very interesting to see who takes the Championship as well as the other top ten positions. See you at Gateway in three weeks to find out what happens next! Chris Schneider [Victory NSS Director]

Thanks to all, I had a great time, and a great feed on Friday night! I stayed to race on Sunday and was OUT by 8:30 in the morning! Headed home and had a blow out on the trailer 50 miles out. So, here is a challenge, I had the tire changed in less than 15 minutes! Helen said we should have timed it. Anybody get it faster? Start your timers! (because I know someone is going to have trailer tire trouble, eh?)

Hey Tom , I had to change one also on the way home , stopped at Roshell for fuel and seen one tire on the trailer looked like a belt was going so I told Joanne I'd rather change it here in a parking lot than on the side of the road, we were about 15 min also. took longer to get the spare out around the golf cart than it did to get the tire off the trailer.
