Ok gang, looks like you can actually get there Thursday. Dennis Deipenbrock will be there Thursday, but not till maybe 1pm. So, see him after that.
Also, our banquet will be Friday, I guess in some places that looks like an old post, but its not. SO, Friday bring a share dish and we'll chow down.
See you then.

Whats the cost to race ? Also i see crew costs are $80 for two days, seems high. Are there any discounts, free entry for crew ? Is the payout based on car count ? I remember it was less at the Cordova Nostalgia event earlier this year due to car count. Was that a Cordova deal or Victory rule ? If thats the case is that in the Victory rules ? Whats the approximate time line/number off runs for Friday and Saturday ? Thanks, Bob

Bob, Race Fee,( Car and Driver ) same as it has always been $100.00 . Crew fees have always been the same as general admission . ( The only free crew was for the exhibition races and those were sometimes limited to 1/ car ) Payout is based on the # of cars entered .It is tiered per event contract. Where car counts were eliminating some payouts, The Victory Assoc. stepped up to pay that to the racers ( not the payout reduction amount, only the eliminated payout ) As usual, We try and get 2 test hits Friday, 1 hit Saturday and a qualifier , as usual, this is track and weather dependent. We do not have a run order or time from the track yet, Usually mid to late afternoon on Friday, again, weather / track dependent.

Thanks, thought this info might help new members. In the past we always got more specific info in a timely manner. That tiered deal needs to change. If we are "part off the show" maybe we should get a cut off the gate, discount, ect. If not a part off the show, just a filler, whats the purpose off attending theses events. Costs more for crew. Lots off time waiting. Not many come to see us, mostly spectators go to see the "Big Dogs". I,m not impressed running in front off the "Big Crowd" events, rather race with a group like MCR at Badger Classic at Eau Clare, [or add to smaller tracks regular schedule], Pays more and gets two events in one weekend, runs faster, less complicated. Time for change, Thanks, Bob

Thanks for checking and the update/effort Jay, Cordova needs to do a better job, we deserve that. Like i said, are we part off the show or not ? If not lets do something else, needs a member vote/ opinions. Thanks, Bob

Well said Bob, some people seem to think we are a show or need to be, only problem is they're using that to limit the number of tracks we go to. how many have they crossed off the list since we started? heard a rumor of another one just the other day.

I wish we were big enough to be the show, but we are only a part of it. Going to big events has been a goal, but certainly not the only one.
With the past two years it has been a battle to find a place to race reguardless of the event, and countless calls and mails have been exchanged toward that effort.
Trying to rescheudle the "rain out" in St. Louis was a good example of that, but none of that was visible to anybody but the directors.
We are already working on next year, and if you have a suggested track, send a note to me (not on this forum). We are all willing to listen, but not everybody is going to be blessed with their wishes. But we will try.

Rogersville Mo, Bonne Terre Mo, and Benton Illinios all want us. They are happy to schedule us this year.
