Rockfalls is now the premier race track in the upper midwest. Would you show up for a scheduled race here, probably late in the year, August or September.

several weeks ago Dennis Mothershed called me and said he was at the fallout at Rock Falls an said it's a great track an we need to have a Victory race there! I said yes but we need to get the midwest guys to come up, an then he said you wi. guys have been coming down to the midwest races for 10yrs or so, I said ya but we live here so we have to. would be great if it would work out. the track is really getting to be something special. nice to see the good response. thanks guys.

I had the same conversation, and the same concerns. It would be nice to get to some different tracks and get some different exposure. Our appeal is to the door-slammer fans and they are the ones who tour the pits and interact with us. I have to believe that our going to the same tracks year in and out and sometimes more than once ( other than the big races like the World Series or Night of Fire ) the fans get a little tired of seeing the same cars , we need to get a larger fan / spectator base by going to more tracks. I know some will say expand to the new western Mo. track , that's great for them ,but only results in being more unfair to the Northern members. An occasional 8-10 Hr, drive is still way better than the distances with the other "sanctioning "bodies. The members need to support this " Club " just as the importance of supporting your local track. Racing the series is a commitment . My .02 and I'm sticking to it.

I know alot of people don't know about this post. Here was my original thought, get "22 postives I'll show up" and I 'd start making calls and e-mails. PUt the out if you can. Ya or nay, the time of year to set schedule is here.
Also, I am waiting for several track to set schedule, or get back to me with a date for events.

don't think you're going to get 22 posts on this site, not that many members come on here, just the same one's over and over. make it a points race and they have to show up, just like at the other tracks you pick out.

Well, I don't actually feel I have that "right" to do that.
Still waiting on some tracks to set schedule. Rock falls wanted to get their schedule out before others, so that others can schedule around them. I see that as a great idea.

Sorry for the late response but I decided to fall off a 10' roof landing on concrete. I rode in class, via ambulance, to the University of Missouri Trauma Center in Columbia, MO. My injuries included a broken elbow, shoulder, tailbone, concussion and 9 staples in my head. Very lucky, all in all. Every day is getting better for me.
I would definitely try to make it to a race at Rock Falls. I think having a Victory points race would be a great idea because it is a very nice facility.
Hope everyone enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving and will miss seeing folks at the annual "Kossuth Xmas Party" (damn Covid). Stay safe and happy holidays.
