This is not what you all think it will be about. Hearing about Clay's Mod Man grenading at Bowling Green, maybe the Victory Panel should consider adding a rule about this intake manifold before somebody goes to the hospital, or worse, that might be leaning over the fender, working on the motor when it gets fired up and blows. I know good friend Tom Gaines has 2 pop off valves on his intake. Seems like a real good idea to me. How many of these manifolds have blown up in just the Victory group ? I don't have one so it doesn't affect me, but seems like a ticking time bomb. I know it should be fine with just the right starting procedure, but sometimes you make a mistake. Something to consider. Have a good winter, maybe see most of you at Clay and Rosie's.

Unless Clay changed his intake, he does not have a modman, he has the Indy bathtub intake, and yes the bathtub intakes are prone to backfire and cause problems, A backfire valve requirement might be something I would support. I know Randy Spurgeon blew his up twice, and as I remember his brother blew his up in the garage at home as well.
