Hey gang, this race is on, conditions look great, and we can stay at the track without a problem.
This is all good news brought to us by a secret spy currently at the race track. He had infiltrated the management and got us the inside story for this race. I thanked him for this top notch info and Dennis said "no problem". Then he had to go and dry his Dart as it was finally drying up enough to maybe race.
This date is coming up fast. As new info comes in, we will put it out.
Race when you can.

Good race when it wasn't raining. Everybody that is planning on racing at Gateway in less than 2 weeks, get your smart phone ready, or have crew or somebody do the Time slip App. No more paper time slips, the time slip booth is even gone. It works ok, also gives the weather at time of run. Here's the questionable part of it, it is true that you can check anybody's time slip, just put in the car number, friend or competition. The future is here, like it or not. I only know how this NMCA race was run, Dennis can fill you all in on how Gateway runs their program.

In addition, if you install the Time slip App, you can check the runs from anywhere, not just at the track. Anybody that wants to try it out, get the App info from Gateway (WWTR), download it on your smart phone. You can put in my car number 7995 and see all my time slips for the weekend. See you guys at St. Louis !!

If that's what St Louis is going to do with the time slips. I'm not going to attend. I don't feel it's right to let everyone see what your reaction time and what your car is running .That information should between the two drivers. If they would make it password protected that's different.

Well Jim, I kinda thought that wasn't right either. But then, certain people have been able to see the run sheets for years, and that same info is on there. AND, you may have been able to go to the tower and request them yourself and get that.
A couple of years ago, my opponet in the semi's saw the run sheets (I didn't), and that actually worked in my favor. I went on to the finals as a result. I didn't know this until well after the race and figured it out. If you ask, I'll tell you in person how that happened.
I have also seen a crew member writing down the times and mph of who could be there next opponnet, and that has gone on for years. So this is nothing really new. This also helped me in a final in Iowa 2 years ago. Again, ask, I'll tell you the story.
But, this is the world we live in. I don't see it changing.
Race when you can.

Everybody, I will get Susan on here later to explain. I have a flip phone and that won't work, she installed it on her smart phone, plus had to download an update after we got there. Isn't progress great !! Would also like to say great job to the Victory guys that did well at the NMCA race, it was Kevin's first time racing this year, also Shaun's first race, my first race of the year, and Dustin got that #1 Qualifier. Wish some of our Northern Victory guys could have made it. We are all still Victory NSS Family, and we were wearing our yellow shirts !

I wouldn't worry about the time slip app. The racing was super tough in stl, you still have to bring your A game everytime. Now if someone could invent app that would tell me what you are going to run in the future that would be something!, lol Go Race Hard!, Have a good time!

So if this is the world where we live in, and it's always changing. Why is it so hard to get some of our rules changed?

Dick, my Boss says she had to go back and download an update on that Time slip app to get it to work. She said you might even have to re install the app. Isn't progress fun ? Dennis Spurgeon may have to get on here and help everybody out since he has raced at Gateway more than last weekend, with the Time slip app, and also track procedure. NMCA did car tech just like always, in person, looking at the car and safety gear, filling out the tech card, just like it has always been ( BUT that was NMCA, not WWTR Gateway crew ). I can't tell you how it will be for our Victory race there. Unless you have an ETI ( Extended Tech Inspection sticker ) they will have to tech the car there. We were able to pay cash and get cash change back at the entry booth, again this was NMCA in charge. I know we have permission for overnight parking. I will add something while on here, can anybody give us a schedule for our upcoming race, when we can get in and park--- such as Thursday night, or on Friday ??
