OK, we are an official go for this race!!!!! This is a big deal and we can have some fun here at our first race. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! You can find fame and fortune* at this race! Yes, fame and fortune* because you, yes you will be on national camera because Bang Shift will be streaming this race.
Now, for details. There will be no spectators, and to ensure the population is limited here, we will need to be on an attend list. We will be working at who will be the contact person for that, but make plans so we can get this together. There will be a limit to the number of people on the grounds, so we aren't going to accept 10 crew members for your car. We hope to get further info, details, in the near future.
As it stands now, overnight stay is welcome. I don't see this changing.
So......make plans, be there or be square!
*This fortune thing, maybe not so much. But its a possibility. As drag racers we need to keep up the optimism, eh?

OK, if you have plans to attend, and I hope you do, you need to get a hold of me with your name, and the names of crew members and family that will be there. We need this list to Eddyville the week before.
You can PM me here or facebook. Or I'll give you a phone number through that PM as well. Or, get a hold of another board member or something and get the number that way. My e mail is carsplymouth@hotmail.com
Hope you can make it.

Following up on Tom's post, Need names and crew counts by Sat. May 23rd., Sunday May 24th. the list goes to the track. IF YOUR NOT ON THE LIST , YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY AT THE GATE .Keep the crew size down to 2 or 3 people ( Not including driver ). Also, Annual Dues will be due at this race, Payable to : Victory Nostalgia Super Stock Assoc. LLC . $ 125.00 for the year. I'm told access to the live streaming of the race is about $10.00 , so your friend(s) and relatives don't have an excuse ( Too Hot , Too Far, No Shade , Don't like the Food, Foods too expensive, The guy next to me stinks , seats are uncomfortable, too crowded, tickets too expensive , the guy next to me picks his nose and flicks it, , Beers too expensive, Cooler is too heavy ,the guy next to me picks his nose and eats it, and on and on ) . So for the price of $10.00 they can pack their living room! ( or unpack their nose in privacy )

We will make a final decision on racing at Eddyville by May 15. Can not commit until I feel safe in attending and see what the Iowa trend is in new covid19 cases. Thw St. Louis race is a no as we will be racing at Rock Falls, WI on that date.

The Eddyville gang is ready for us, and is really upbeat about the Bang Shift gang being there to film us all. I'm thinking of buying into it just to review my win...……..well ok, maybe that will happen, But, you gotta be there to win and to be on TV. SO, make your plans! See you there!!!!

OK, got the "Plymouth" embroidery on my diaper cleaned off yesterday. Why? Because its going to be on TV! Yeah, I don't have that much of a wheelie, but it will show on the big tube! I'm hoping Bang Shift will come through the pits and do a little show as well, and we can show off the best looking cars at the track!
So, be there, be on the big tube!

Tom, you can add Susan and I to the racer list for Eddyville. Also add Doug and Judy Buethien as crew members. They will bring their Gator tow vehicle for Victory use and be staying overnight. Susan and I will not be staying overnight at the track. Looking forward to the friendship and competition.

Tom, What is our car count for Eddyville at this point? 20. Which seems low to me since this is a "for sure" race, and no others are yet. We'd like you to come on out, race and play with us. Hey, the towing gas will never be cheaper (never thought I'd ever say that).

At Eddyville, I will have all the crew members listed with the car-driver. So, whom ever the driver is, all those with him will be listed with/below his/her name. Had I access to excel, I could list alphabetically, but not to happen.

Let’s hope Mother Nature cooperates for the Eddyville race weekend. Right now the 10 day forecast looks damp to wet due to a stalled weather front and east coast tropical storm “Arthur”. Good chance that Saturday, May 30, will be around 80 degree and partially sunny though.

Pardon the intrusion by your retired Poobah. I just wanted to add my two cents and if you take it to the bank, you might get a penny. This is a very unique and difficult time for our country. What better time to show the strength, value and spirit of the Victory NSS Group. Everyone has been cooped up for a long time and this Race is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy our Hobby. Gerald at Eddyville has been a friend and wonderful supporter of our Group since the beginning. He has a beautiful and well run facility with a great racing surface. The Funny Car Chaos Races have taken off like wild fire and Victory is lucky to be part of it. The Group also has the chance to run in front of a World Wide Audience thanks to the Bangshift Live Feed. Lets show the World what Victory NSS is all about and help a very deserving Gerald and Crew at Eddyville put on a super show and give a lot of people something to take their minds off of the problems going on. This can be done safely and this Group has the professionalism to do it right. We can shelter in our basements or we can go out and run our Hot Rods! Please respond to Tom by this Saturday so he can turn in a huge Roster of Victory Cars for this Race. Enjoy the Racing, visit your friends [but practice social distancing] and be part of something that could go down in history as one the greatest moments in racing. In your spare time, you can cheer this old fat guy on to victory in the Brutus F/C. See you there and as always, "WE ARE VICTORY NSS"!!!!!!!
Chris aka Blowfish, Hamburger Helper, FF or many other names.
