Same weekend as Rock Falls Badger Classic, Hot Rod Reunion BG KY. Ford Race at US 42 Ohio. Remains to be seen how each will conduct a Race event, if at all .

The Hot Rod Reunion has been cancelled! I kind of figured it would be because of the shortened season!

Last weekend of June would have been fine, but not this weekend. Wondering why they changed the date again?

Well, we/I missed the clue for the dates on that. So the poll goes out the window. A lot of uncertainties here but I will send off a message to see if it looks like you can stay overnight at the track. I think most of you saw the post on how they would space the racers out and avoid most all contact. And, the prepay condition.
I would have to say, our food fun is probably just out for the year here, unless someone can come up with a "safe" idea for that.
If we find anything out we will put it here. Right away at that. Be flexible, there is no plan that can't be screwed up this year.

Did the Nostalgia Mother Road Rendezvous group pick this date the same as our Rock Falls race or did the Victory group pick this date? Just wondering.

To my knowledge the Rendezvous is put on by the track, and the track picked the date. No other info known at this point. We have had zero contact/input/info provided to us is this effort. We are a small player in the scheme of things here.
As far as the date changing from the 26-27 that was me. When I was told late late June that is what I assumed. The two lates led me off, but it still was not set at that point anyway or they'd given me the date we have now.

I saw the posting the track put out, and it states " Subject to change " , So I'm sure there still are some things still up in the air ie: car show etc,. I also sent an e-mail to the track asking for clarification on the tech "Fees " if not previously having an "extended " tech done by the track ( by appointment ) or NHRA extended tech. I'm a little confused, the track is in Illinois, The governor of ill. extended the stay at home order until the end of May . Tech "Fee " for non-local cars coming in for a "special " event ?

My personal opinion, World Wide Technology Raceway (Gateway) has kind of gone way past common safety guidelines, what's next, getting a chip implant, finger prints, retina scans, drug testing. Not a happy camper here. Why are we all racing Nostalgia instead of the latest computer controlled cars ??

Because your old and set in your ways ? ( you asked ) . Just wanted everyone to know that we're asking the questions, the problem is that right now there are too many unknowns , trying to keep communication lines open. There are now State and Local " Authorities " involved and Insurance companies, so there could be people involved that don't really understand the whole picture and impacts dealing in " Generalities ".

Here's the answer Boys and Girls, since Golfing seems to be exempt from restrictions. How about we have Golf Ball Acceleration Contests, each pair is issued a golf ball, the loser of each race has to toss the golf ball in a bucket on the return road, and is done. The winner carries his/her winning golf ball back for another acceleration trial, until we have a winner. The Best Golf Ball Accelerator of the day !!

So how do I contact our new leader ? Since there no information by phone. General questions / info. requests can be sent to general@victorynss.com , I check the mail box usually every other day, if I don't have an answer , I'll get one. For rules questions, I'll put you in touch with the rules committee. Tom Hoffman is handling the " Participant List " for the Eddyville race as posted. Thanks,
