Was think more like Jay thinking he needs a head start and turning on the red light, so it would be me with the free pass.

One of the reasons we are taking a poll here is to determine whether this could be a points race/make up race or not. If we had 40 cars show it would be a no brainer. But, doesn't look like that is going to happen. Get as many racers to vote one way or another if you can. Thanks

Not sure how many racers monitor the victory website, but a lot of unknowns, before June arrives. If they start to open some states up and it goes well, I think an old fashion phone call to those that did not respond to the survey would be quickest.
I keep up the website for the GTA car club, and I put everything on the club website, post to facebook, and it goes out on messenger, and I still get 1/2 the members that say they never seen anything. I think that is just the way it is, not sure how to make communication any better.

Just to clarify the st.louis 27-28 will be a Saturday Sunday race? Nothing, not even a date has been absolutely confirmed yet. So, don't know. Track had to check to see if the entertainment and car clubs could make this date. Also, if you saw the track announcement about on line track payment so no contact. Also, using odd only stage lanes to separate, and restrictions to track workers ect. Its probably the way of the future. www.wwtraceway.com/ if you go to the "News" section the above announcement is there.

Tom, that was an eye opening ( in fact both eyes ) to go on Gateway's ( World Wide Technology Raceway ) web site and read the new procedure for everything involved with racing there, and I am sure many other big tracks. Everybody out there that will be racing Victory, really needs to go to the WWT Raceway web site and read this !! Tom, one question, will they kick us off the track 30 minutes after the last race, considering the distance some of us drive to race there, and will overnites at the tracks be over until this FREAKING Virus is gone ? Looking like long distance racing won't be so much fun, anymore.

Next they'll be saying racers will have keep a space between trailers and no socializing, restricted to you pit area! Imagine what that'll do to spectator count if they can't visit with the racers that they paid to see up close and person! The nation events will really be hurting! It's going be interesting to see what happens when Bill jr. reopens Motorsports Park!

None of us (at least that I know of) have talked to track owners/managers about anything.
So I guess everybody is in the dark together.

I'm tryingto contact several of the guys here in this area.

I think that is just the way it is, not sure how to make communication any better. I'm trying to get in touch with several of the racers in my area to vote. I'm pretty sure there is a few yes votes, but they are not regulars on the website. Facebook would be a big help to get the word out a little more. I did see a post put there on this subject. There are some new cars being built (probably finished) in my area now and I'm not sure if some of them even know about our website forums. I'll keep trying to get the information out. I think there's 3 or 4 cars not voting that would be there.

It's going be interesting to see what happens when Bill jr. reopens Motorsports Park! I emailed Chris Blair about the posted plans to reopen. Just to ask for some clarification. And from his response below, I don't think they thought yet about racers camping for the weekend events. This seems strange to me because St. Louis has a lot of special events that draws in out of state racers.
"Thanks for reaching out. Right now we are just doing whatever we possibly can in order to be able to re-open. The camping issue might be something that sends up another red flag with the ‘powers that be.’ Our number one priority is to open for single day events, show them that our participants will act responsibly, then move forward one step at a time.
Hopefully we are making some progress and will be running cars again soon. "
