Hello everybody, don't know how many are digging out or brushing away Snow , there I said it Snow. I heard in early October 2019 that the helmets with a Snell 2010 sticker may be out dated and not eligible for use in the 2020 racing season. Has anyone else heard about this?

Looks like I am needing new seat belts. Two years passes too quickly. Just bought a new helmet 2 years ago with the latest snell date.

Hey Dick from the research were doing it looks like new helmets with a valid date won't be available until well after the 1st of the year. Possibly after April 1st. Cheese and Crackers.

Snell 2015 helmets are good 10 years. Don’t forget to check your competition license and chassis certification dates, too. Mine expire in July 2020.... more money, more money. I may need a loan from the Chicago mafia!

Speaking of safety, two things I'd like everybody to consider.
Fire would be the worst, we would all agree on that. Gloves would really help you out, and you would be willing to help someone else out as well. Don't have to be fire approved gloves, but fire approved gloves would be the best.
Second, neck collar. Actually the neck collar protects your neck/head, but also keeps fire from around your neck.
Something to consider.

Tom, x2 on both your thoughts, I started using gloves when I was running 10:00, mostly cause of the fire thing, was thinking even if the other guy in the lane next to me had a problem , I might be the first one there to help get him out of the car. the neck collar is a good move also, although I'm required to use one at the 9.75 level I think other would benefit from it also , I think it's a little more effective with a full face helmet tho.

I have always used gloves since my dragster days because of fire and fairly often use my neck collar which is always in the car!! These cars launch hard and neck strain can also lead to back issues!! We are all too old to have those troubles if we can try to prevent them!!
