Just wanted to throw a few tid bits in that a lot of the guys might not pick up on. Every knows Wally won and he and I go together sometimes anyway Wally had some trouble with the car over heating with the radiator and electric motor for the pump, well Clay came thru with a extra motor he had along, I heard Tom Hoffman had some cooling issues also with a leaky radiator, Jim Hagenhoff gave him some sealer, then later Don Breumer broke a dist rotor and Jim also had a rotor for him , Scott ( misable bastard) had some traction problem and well I guess no one helped him sorry Scott I couldn't resist Bruemmer put me up to it, then after I almost had #1 qualifier (thanks Tom) one of my slicks was going flat before the first round Wally ( the winner ) loaned me an extra set on rims that he had in the trailer so I could race, earlier Dave had a flat also and Damon ran around and helped him get it fixed, Jim Hagenhoff had a oil pressure problem an a couple of us helped friday to try an fix that, after Wally beat me he came back with a radiator hose blown off and Tom Hoffman came over and helped me get him ready for the final, an I could go on an on. What I'm getting at is what better bunch of guys could you race with , don't matter if you have to race against them the next round or not no one is afraid to help out the other guy. and it's not just our series I've seen it in the other one's I've raced in. but I think it needs to be said once an awhile. Very well said Russ. I really look at us as being a Family. I can't think of a race where people weren't helping each other! Even Families can pick on each other a little bit though, right Bruemmer and Miserable Bastard? ?? Chris.

Russ,
I gotta add that Kenny Gresham really helped me out finding a local tire shop that could patch the hole in my tube. When the first one didn't pan out he kept going until we found a shop that could work on it. I would have never found that shop without his help. A silly dry wall screw almost ruined the trip, but Kenny really came through for me and I appreciate it VERY much.
Damon got in the truck and was my co pilot and crew for a very long trip even though he wasn't feeling 100%. I know he wanted to have Fugly up there mixing it up with you guys, but it was best he sit this one out. It really took a lot for him to make that trip feeling the way he did these last couple of weeks and sitting on the sidelines had to be tough. It did him a lot of good seeing all of you out there again.
Yall really know how to make the new guy feel welcome. My only regret so far is that most of the races are a LONG way from Texas hehehe. Checked the odometer this morning and we put a total of 1747 miles on this trip! It was worth every one of those miles!
I didn't get to meet everyone, but everyone I met was a class act. Looking forward to the next time I can make it up there and see all of yall again.
-Dave
