Well the race came and went and it all turned out great. Car count was way down undoubtedly a result of the 90 to 100% chance of rain both days that started that way on Monday. Even on Sunday morning the forecast was 90% all day long and the nearest clouds were 700 miles away. It never rained, either day.
Dick Monaco went to the semi finals on Saturday and Jerry Bolton went to the semi's on Sunday. Jerry also qualified number one on Sunday, and I believe quite well on Saturday as well. Jeff Frees won both days, Sunday the finals were Bruce Lang and Jeff. Good race, Jeff came out on top. Jason Beruns went rounds both days and is turning out to be a another great racer. And that Dodge is just a great looking car as well.
Bruce and Russ put on the race and did all the organization of same and it was all very good. Bruce's B&K trucking put up the purse and the payout was fantastic. If you can make this trip next year it is well worth it. There was 112 Stock/Superstock racers there and they were actually quite fun to watch.
There was also an index race there on a .500 pro tree. Al Corda runnered up Saturday and Sunday to certainly make his week end. That protree is pretty hard without a transbrake. Jim Kroger and Bruce Lang tried their hand at that but not with a lot of success.
I really hope the Victory NSS schedule doesn't conflict with this next year as it gives us "Northern" guys a relatively close venue to run.

Great report Tom and thanks for attending. The weather forecast played a big factor in our car count, and it always does. in the end it rained Friday evening around 7:30PM and that was it. We got 3 good days of racing in, the show was completed by 5:00PM on Sunday. I did the test and tune on Friday with the Gamblers race, Saturday and Sundays index and NSS race-ended up with 27 runs for the weekend. A good weekend. We even got to race each other and again you hit me with another double 0 light! You have to stop doing that to me. Russ and I got to race each other again. It is amazing, both cars have almost identical times to the 1/8 mile, within .002. then the Hemi starts making its move forward an inch at a time. Jeff F was on a roll, his car was working good, and so was the driver. It was a fun weekend, it will happen again next year. Thanks to all that attended and make plans for next year. Russ and I already have been approached by another sponsor for next year, so that only is good news. Yes our plans are to schedule around Victory and NMCA.

Video off first round Saturday. Thanks to Jason Mosher. Thanks to Jennifer Anderson and Rock Falls Raceway staff, did a great job. We got three time runs Saturday, two Sunday, and on Friday you could enter time runs/ gambler race. No power adder cars or dragsters, cycles, a door slammer event. Great to race with the Midwest Class Racers, lots off nice cars/people. A good fit for NSS. Older track recently repaved and new concrete barriers. Paved pit roads/grass pits with many improvements in the works. Track is right off I-94 easy access to Eau Clare Motels Restaurants , real nice College town. We had five places we could have raced NSS last weekend, We chose Badger Classic at Rock Falls, glad we did. Thanks to Russ Berens, Bruce Lang and sponsors for putting this on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMjO0GgXLAE
