I think they are actually the same place , BUT, USE THE WAVERLY RD. ADDRESS , that's the Gate , last time I was there, my map on my phone took me to the Bennington Rd. address, No access ( gate closed ), ended up on a gravel rd. with no place to turn around with the big trailer for a couple miles, big PITA. !!! ( and the co-pilot telling me , See , Told you you should have turned in there !!! )

Yeah, don't go down the dirt road. Everybody knows that.
Also, go to satellite view and you can see the track. Usually nice grass pit area.

Hoffman, dirt road jokes, really??? LOL , Julie and I were there in 2017 and I learned a valuable lesson that I rather not talk about however Monaco knows what I'm referring to. Less than 90 days till Gateway looking forward to seeing everyone there. I guess from what I've heard there are some new racers that might be joining us. Any comments on that ? Also heard rumors about two car teams emerging similar to Clay and Rosie. Any comments on that one? Might as well throw this out there while were talking rumors, do you know anyone who has a 64 Savoy post sedan car for sale? I think they were only offered in a post sedan model, true or false. ttyl

Savoy's were never hardtop cars. So, yeah. Hard car to find.
On the dirt road thing, first time Tom Gaines showed up at Cedar Falls he followed his GPS. He had a clean truck and trailer right up until it told him to go down the dirt road.
BTW, that was 2013, the first time I met Tom. He was a great help as I was wining rounds, and it was so dark at my trailer (I had no lights then) I couldn't see anything to get the car ready for the next round. Tom came down out of the stands and lit up the area with his lights for me every round.
He also provided the necessary encouragement each round. It was a good night for me.

Tom Gaines is a heck of a guy, so is a guy named Tom Hoffman, have to Include Tommie M., also !! Bill, I saw something about 2 car teams, got to get those parts one of these weeks. If wanting to race would make it happen, Swashbuckler Susan, sometimes known as Mama Polara Bear would be racing at this moment, somewhere. I see there is a big NMCA race in Florida next month. Way TOO far for me. If we can get everybody at Gateway in May, should be a lot of cars. If I remember right this will be the 10th year of Victory Nostalgia Super Stock.

Tom, only being to "The Falls" once I wasn't aware of any dirt roads , I'm sorry I took it out of context however, Kermit mentioned something along the same lines about making a wrong turn somewhere via GPS, as for Tom Gains act of generosity or whatever helpfulness or whatever "We" want to call it, if I may say this. Racers helping racers has been something I read about, heard about and witnessed since I started following the sport back in 65. Racers helping each other is one of the very fibers that bonds us all as racers. Whether we race under the Victory banner or nmca or nhra or whatever. That said, we always acknowledge the fellow racer who helped as a shall we say tip of the cap but more than that this guy or gal needs to be recognized for helping in a time of need and, I would like to think it quietly reinforces who we are as a racing family and we are here to help each other in time of need. Lets not forget what happened 2 years back to Randy Spurgen. Nuff said on the subject and I talked too much already. Being cooped up in the house in winter will do that I guess. Now this Savoy thing is one that centers around a nhra class racer named John Shaul from PA.. Apparently he had or has a 64 turn key for sale. My guess is that someone in the 421 Allstars probably already snag it. I dialed up the number and a women on the other end said she doesn't know anyone named John. So that's where that story starts and ends but, if ya hear of a 64 post sedan let me know. Now on to the Pirate and the Swashbuckler. You guys will need to quiz Capt. George on this one but rumor has it there could be a husband and wife team there in the making. Could it be a pair of 64 Polara's flying the Jolly Roger in weeks to come? Hmmm

I remember that day Tom Hoffman, I remember the big bang when my trans gave up and you got to change out your MSD box. You were really on your game that day

Hollywood, I believe John Schaul is out of New York, He is an NHRA regular. I had dinner with him a few years ago at the US Nationals. I don't know him well, but can call a guy that does that will know about the car and have contact info. Let me know if you want me to place the call.
On another matter, good to know both Tom's are still lurking out there.

This is where the plot thickens as so to speak. Thanks for making the phone call explains why the women on the phone didn't know anyone named John . If you'd liked to forward the info to Pete that would be great. Thanks for making the calls.
