Hello from KSW central. It's been a busy transition to our new home Church, but well worth it. We are very blessed and have cut our commute from 45 minutes to 10.
Byron and Cordova are about the same pull for us and while recalling the route I was reminded of one of my favorite Beatle songs "Long and winding road".
"The song became the group's 20th and last number-one hit in the United States on 13 June 1970. It was also the song McCartney made his case in court for breaking up the Beatles as a legal entity, McCartney cited the treatment of "The Long and Winding Road" as one of six reasons for doing so." Per the web TheBeatles.Com
Victory NSS Race #3 will "lead us back to your door" Cordova International Raceway! "The wild and windy night that the rain washed away,
Has left a pool of tears crying for the day." With all the track, racers and fans have been through this season, let us bring the best value in motorsports back to CIR Victory Nostalgia Super Stock Racing! I know your bring your "A" game and treat them to a great show.
"Why leave me standing here, let me know the way." I'm glad our fearless leader (Butch for short is a standup guy and has the faith to continue in the NSS spirit and "let us know the way".
Early Christians were referred to as "followers of the way" and later "the way".
From Holy Scripture John 14:6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.
For the old testament believer, it was a long and winding road waiting on the promised Messiah. For the New Testament believer we continue to travel this road, anticipating His return with the hope of Christ, the courage, the direction, the love and the power from God to press on.
May God grant you all traveling mercies. Be blessed and Lord willing we'll see you at the "door".
In Christ's love,
Chaplain KSW
